Q: Is DHS Zinc Shampoo to be used every day?
A: We recommend using DHS Zinc, DHS SAL, and DHS Tar Shampoos three times each week, or as recommended by your doctor. We suggest using either our DHS Regular or Clear Shampoo during the "off” days. Daily use of the DHS Conditioning Rinse will also help hair and skin maintain a natural moisture balance.

Q: Is it safe for color treated hair?
A: DHS medicated shampoos are not guaranteed to be color safe. Please try our DHS Color Safe Shampoo and DHS Color Safe Rinse that work very well together. DHS Color Safe Shampoo & Rinse were developed to hold the color while providing excellent hair conditioning with enhanced hair thickening and ease of combing, while reducing drying time. Best used together for optimum benefits.

Q: Is this an antifungal shampoo?
A: DHS is specially formulated to treat conditions such as dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis but Zinc Pyrithione has been shown to have antifungal properties.

Q: How long should this remain in the hair before rinsing?
A: We suggest letting the medicated shampoos remain on the scalp for approximately 3-5 minutes or as suggested by your dermatologist or primary care physician.

Q: Does it dry out your hair?

Q: How long does it take to get relief from itchiness?
A: Our medicated products are formulated to provide immediate relief of symptoms such as itching, redness and inflammation caused by dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, or psoriasis. However, it may take additional uses to notice any change depending on the severity of your condition.

Q: What is the difference between the DHS SAL and DHS Zinc Shampoo?
A: DHS SAL Shampoo contains 3% Salicylic Acid which assists with psoriasis, dandruff, and seborrheic dermatitis. DHS Zinc Shampoo contains 2% Zinc Pyrithione which is a milder medicated shampoo and assists with conditions such as dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.

DIRECTIONS: Shake well before using. Wet hair thoroughly: apply a liberal amount of DHS Zinc Shampoo and massage into lather/ Allow lather to remain on scalp for several minutes. Rinse hair well and repeat application. For best results use at least twice a week or as directed by a doctor.
Use: helps prevent recurrence of scalp itching and flaking associated with Seborrheic Dermatitis and Dandruff.
Ask a doctor before use is you have: Seborrheic Dermatitis that covers a large area of the body.
